Paul’s community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the Belleair Country Club.
In 2007, Paul was selected by Florida’s Chief Financial Officer, Alex Sink, to serve on the state’s first Financial Literacy Council for a four year term. The council was created by the Florida Legislature to study and develop resources to solve the financial problems that affect consumers.
In 2008, Paul was elected to the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the largest professional membership organization of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioners. He served as its president in 2012 and the Chairman of the Board in 2013.
Sought after for his views on developments in the field of financial planning, Paul is interviewed regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg and quoted frequently in the Wall Street Journal, Investment News, RIABiz, Barrons, Wealth Management, and ThinkAdvisor. He attended the University of Kentucky and Columbia University and lives in Belleair, Florida, with his wife, Kimberly.
