Derek joined ProVise in September 2022 as a Paraplanner after graduating from Temple University where he majored in Finance. Derek previously worked in the Investment Analyst Program as an intern for Gabelli Asset Management. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in October 2023 and became an Associate Financial Planner in August 2024.
Derek’s Background
Derek, born in New York City and raised in northern New Jersey, graduated from Temple University and moved to Tampa to begin his career at ProVise. As a former ice hockey and lacrosse champion, Derek is a dedicated team player. He developed his entrepreneurial skills in college, where he started a successful home improvement business and sold profitably after four years. While interning at Gabelli Asset Management, Derek’s passion for investing grew as he gained real-world experience in the industry. Now residing in Tampa, he enjoys golfing, fishing, boating, beach activities, and reading.
