Jon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional with over 20 years of business and financial planning experience. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance with a concentration in Investments, a BBA degree in Financial Planning, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), all from the University of North Florida. Jon holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation, Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation and the Series 7 FINRA General Securities Representative License. He is an Investment Adviser Representative and a licensed agent for life, health, disability and variable annuity contracts in the state of Florida.
Jon Brethauer’s Background
Prior to joining ProVise, Jon was the Financial Planning Specialist for the Tampa Bay region with SunTrust Investment Services as well as an officer of SunTrust Bank. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for BayCare Alliant Hospital, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation, as well as the Board of Directors for Morton Plant Mease Hospital. He also serves on the Morton Plant Mease Foundation Planned Giving Advisory Council, as well as the past Chairman of the Skip Cline Leadership Society.
Jon and his wife Lora are native Floridians who are raising their daughter Emma in Palm Harbor.
