Eric joined ProVise in 2000 after five years managing the financial assets of a Tampa entrepreneur and his family. He has experience in estate planning and charitable giving as well as managing equity and fixed income investment portfolios. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Eric also earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a AB in Economics from Hamilton College.
Eric R. Ebbert’s Background
Eric presently serves as Vice Chair of the board at The Homeless Empowerment Program, a Clearwater based nationally recognized model of excellence providing comprehensive solutions to homeless for individuals, families and Veterans in the community. He is also a member of the board of the Tampa General Hospital Foundation and serves on its Finance Committee. Past associations have included membership on the Charles Schwab Advisor Services Advisory Board, The Spring of Tampa Bay, and The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s Professional Advisory Committee. He also completed the Leadership Tampa program.
Prior to entering the financial advisory field nearly two decades ago, Eric worked for IBM in San Francisco and Tampa, and was Sports Editor for a Connecticut newspaper. He and his wife, Blythe, live in Tampa. They have two sons.
